DC Youth Service Center (YSC) at 1000 Mt. Olivet Road, NE is an 88-bed 55,426-SF secure residential facility for detained male and female youth awaiting adjudication and/or disposition by the court. The YSC is a 24-hour facility with level IV Facility Security Level (FSL).
MCE provided MEP engineering services to upgrade the existing shower areas and common areas ventilation system. The engineering services include:
- Testing of the existing system to document existing system condition.
- Evaluating existing ventilation system and upgrade the ventilation rates per ASHRAE’s Ventilation for acceptable indoor air quality standard 62.1-2013.
- Replacing shower areas plumbing system.
- Replacing shower areas lighting fixture.
