Belmont Condominium is a new sixteen unit, five story plus a basement structure in Washington, DC. The units are a mix of one and two bedroom units. The fifth floor unit includes a penthouse with a wet bar and roof deck.
MCE is providing MEP and fire protection engineering services for this new 16 unit condominium building. Individual heat pump units are provided for each unit. Domestic hot water is by a central domestic hot water system. Each unit is provided with a separately metered electrical power from PEPCO. Elevator will be used for the means of egress. An emergency generator is designed to provide back-up power for the elevator.
This building is categorized as a mid-rise residential building and is provided with a wet sprinkler system and a stand-pipe due to the building height.
This project meets the DC Green Building Act through Green Construction code by prescriptive-base compliance.
