Fort Davis Recreation Center consists of two adjoining buildings on an approximately 2.65 acres at 1400 41st Street, SE, Washington, DC. The two buildings include community center, a gymnasium and supporting function areas. The site consists of a picnic area with a shelter, one outdoor basketball court, one tennis court, one baseball field, two large children’s playground, a water play area, as well as a leisure walk through the landscaped grounds.
MCE Provided MEP engineering services to assess and renovate the MEP systems of this 13,000 square feet recreation center building. MCE also provided plumbing and electrical engineering services for a new splash pad, site irrigation and site lighting. The MEP design was completed to fit the $3.4 million construction budget.
