MCE provided MEP and fire protection engineering design services to renovate the three story, 11,500 square feet Samson hall at the George Washington University campus.
The building is provided with new HVAC system for the first floor classrooms and laboratories as well as the second and third floor offices and conference rooms. Campus chilled and hot water is used to supply to air handling unit and fan coil units.
Electrical service is upgraded to a new service from PEPCO as well as a second service from the adjacent Corcoran hall building. New power distribution and lighting layout is provided.
New fire alarm system is provided throughout the building. Sprinkler main from adjacent Corcoran Hall building is extended to provide complete sprinkler system coverage for the Samson Hall building.
