The Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement (ONSE) is created to consolidate the work being done by the Safer, Stronger DC Community Partnerships Office and the Community Stabilization Program under one mission.
ONSE is located in a three-story 49,272 SF building at 100 42nd Street NE in Washington, DC. This facility includes the main building and the Annex building with separate incoming utilities and MEP systems.
MC Engineers provided MEP engineering services to renovate the lower level into a conference center with a construction cost of $3,000,000.00.
The MEP scope of work included:
- Complete survey of existing condition and preparation of existing condition drawings.
- Replacing existing mechanical system with a dedicated outside air system and a variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system.
- Replacing plumbing fixtures and providing new plumbing design for a kitchenette.
- New power distribution and lighting layout.
- New fire alarm system.
